--C Jonathan Toews scored two goals, matching the total he had for the previous 19 games. His second goal came with the Blackhawks enjoying a five-on-three advantage in the third period. It was Chicago's third five-on-three goal of the season.
--G Nikolai Khabibulin stopped 24 of 25 shots in the first two periods. Backup G Cristobal Huet stopped 13 of 15.
--RW Patrick Kane, LW Troy Brouwer and D Cam Barker all had their seventh assists of the season.
--C Patrick Sharp led the Blackhawks with five shots and tied for the team lead with two blocked shots.
--D James Wisniewski underwent knee surgery in the offseason and is on injured reserve. He expects to return to the lineup Dec. 12 at Colorado.
--RW Dustin Byfuglien suffered an undisclosed injury during the morning skate at Dallas on Nov. 20. He hasn't played since. The injury is believed to be to his ribs or chest. The Blackhawks say it is nothing serious and list him as day-to-day.
--RW Adam Burish didn't play against San Jose because of a lower-body injury.
--G Nikolai Khabibulin and D Aaron Johnson left the San Jose game with undisclosed injuries. Their status for future games is uncertain.
